  • The Security Engineer will be a member of Augeo's security, risk and compliance team and will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Augeo Security Program. This includes:
  • Execution of technical security management tasks and assignments
  • Analysis and recommendation of security controls and procedures in business processes related to use of information systems and assets, and monitors for compliance
  • Assist in Security incident analysis and response
  • Contribute to the design of Augeo's security enterprise architecture
  • Emphasis on Cloud Security Environments, specifically AWS

Essential Functions

  • Experience with Cloud-based Infrastructures and tooling (AWS, Oracle Cloud)
  • Experience with both Linux and Windows environments
  • Working knowledge with 2 or more security areas such as: penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, application security scanning, endpoint protection, data loss prevention, firewalls, server hardening, patching, file integrity management, security monitoring, IDS, IPS, SIEM
  • Working knowledge with security tools such as: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, ThreatStack, Qualys, Crowdstrike, SumoLogic, Mimecast, Okta
  • WAF/Firewall experience a plus
  • Monitors information systems for security incidents and vulnerabilities; develops monitoring and visibility capabilities; reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends
  • Shared responsibility for first response to security and fraud alert events

  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical security engineering practices.
  • Familiar with SOC2 and PCI compliance requirements preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and in teams.
  • Experience working within an Agile environment and JIRA preferred
  • Must be flexible and able to function in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of IT/Security experience, or Associate's degree and a minimum of 3 years of IT/Security experience.
  • Good understanding of information security principles, standards, tools and methodologies.
